Make sure the vibration indication on panel P2 is zero.
(b)
Push and release the TEST button on the AVM signal conditioner.
1) If the AVM signal conditioner is blank, do the troubleshooting that shows for an AVM Indication Problem (AMM 71-00-54/101).
(c)
Make sure that the AVM signal conditioner shows 88 for 1-3 seconds, and then turns the display off. 1) If the display goes out of view, the AVM signal conditioner
passed the self test.
2) If 88 remains on, there is a failure of the AVM signal conditioner and it should be replaced. a) Do the self test again.
(d) If the AVM signal conditioner shows code A9, there is a failure of the AVM signal conditioner. 1) Replace the AVM signal conditioner and do the self test
again.

(a) Read the fault history of the AVM signal conditioner with the ARINC 429 reader (AMM 77-31-00/201).
NOTE: The self test of the AVM signal conditioner will
____ occur automatically when the electrical power is supplied.
1) If the AVM signal conditioner fails the self-test, a record of the failure will be made in the fault history as the last fault.
2) If the ARINC 429 reader shows 1, there is a failure of the AVM signal conditioner and it should be replaced.

NOTE: The AVM signal conditioner passed the self test.

3) If the AVM signal conditioner shows SELFTEST FAILED REPLACE or is blank, there is a failure of the AVM signal conditioner. a) Replace the AVM signal conditioner and do the self test
again.
(d) AIRPLANES WITH AN S360N021-113 OR -114 AVM; The AVM signal conditioner will show Self Test?. 1) Push and release the YES button on the front display of the AVM signal conditioner. a) If the display on the AVM signal conditioner is blank, do the troubleshooting that shows for an AVM Indication Problem (AMM 71-00-54/101). 2) The AVM signal conditioner will show the hardware and software versions for 12 seconds, then show Test in progress for approximately two seconds.
