Do these steps to attach the ARINC 429 reader to the airborne vibration monitor (AVM) signal conditioner (Fig. 201):
(a)
Remove the protective cap from the connector on the front panel of the AVM signal conditioner.
(b)
Do these steps if you do not use the Generic AVM test box:
1) Make a substitute for the interface box. a) Install one pin on each wire of the cable at one end. b) Identify the pins as pin 1 and pin 2. c) Install the phone plug on the cable, with the wire for
pin 1 to the tip conductor of the plug, the wire for pin 2 to the second conductor, and the shield to ground.
d) Install one pin on each end of the jumper wire. 2) Connect the phone plug into the RX connector of the ARINC 429 reader. 3) Connect the pins 1 and 2 of the AVM signal conditioner connector.
(c) Do these steps if you use the Generic AVM test box: 1) Connect the connector A of the Generic AVM test box to the AVM signal conditioner.
2) Connect the RX connector of the ARINC 429 reader to the connector B of the Generic AVM test box.
