Install gold plated contacts for these two conditions: 1) If you do not have alumel or chromel contacts. 2) If the two sides of the connector and the receptacle are in
an area with the same temperature.

Install only alumel or chromel contacts on connectors that go through bulkheads or firewalls.

corrosion, electrically grounded connectors and defective
thermocouples.
NOTE: Dissimilar materials at junctions (nuts, screws, washers and
____ terminal connections) can cause circuit resistance that is not correct.

(3) Do the EGT accuracy test.
(a) Do these steps:
NOTE: The terminal block, T1012, is at the 9:30 o'clock

position.
ú 1) Install the millivolt source to the EGT indication system. 2) Disconnect the wire lugs from the studs of terminal block, T1012. ú 3) Connect the millivolt source to the wire lugs. 4) Adjust the temperature compensation to the ambient temperature. ú 5) Let the millivolt source become warm for 20 minutes before
you do the test. ú 6) Make an input of 850 C (35.314 MV) with the millivolt ú source.
