 segment connector on the main junction box. 8) Short circuit the wires of the test lead, 856A3318. 9) Connect the test lead, 856A3317, to the forward extension
 ú  lead receptacle of the main junction box and the ohmmeter. 10) Measure the resistance value LM2. a) Make a record of LM2. 11) Calculate the final resistance: a) Subtract the resistance value of the 856A3317 and the 856A3318 adapter leads from LM2. 12) The final resistance must be between 2.34 and 3.28 ohms.
 (f) Main junction box insulation check. ú 1) With the megohmmeter, measure the insulation resistance ú between the two wires.
 2)  Measure the resistance between the two wires shorted
 together and the case. 3) Insulation resistance less than 10M ohms is not permitted. 4) Replace the main junction box for one or the other
 conditions:
 a) The final resistances is not in the above limits.
 b) The insulation resistance is not in the above limits.

 5)  Connect the forward extension lead and the right harness extension lead to the main junction box.
 ú (g)  Connect the ohmmeter to the 10SL-3 connector at the A/C interface connector. 1) Connect the right harness segment to the right secondary
 junction box.
 (h)  Do the resistance check as follows: 1) Measure the resistance value RH1. a) Make a record of RH1. ú 2) Invert the polarity on the ohmmeter.
 3)  Measure the resistance value RH2. a) Make a record of RH2.

4)  Calculate the final resistance value:
 a)  Subtract the resistance value of the leads from the average of the recorded resistance values ((RH1 + RH2) divided by 2).
 5)  Replace the right EGT extension harness if the resistance is not between 3.88 and 5.44 ohms.
 (i)  
Connect the main junction box lead to the left secondary junction boxes one lead at a time. 1) Repeat the above test after each connection is made. 2) Replace the main junction box lead for these conditions:

 a)  After you connect the first lead, the final resistance value is not between 2.54 and 3.58 ohms. b) After you connect the second lead, the final resistance value is not between 2.11 and 2.97 ohms.

 (j)  
Disconnect the test leads.

 (k)  
Connect the harnesses and the electrical connector, D2954, or the terminal block, T1012, at the 9:30 interface.

 (l)  
Connect the segment junction and the jump wire connector if they are disconnected (AMM 77-21-01/401).


 G.  Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY
 TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

 (1)  
Close the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (2)  
Close the fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 S 865-059-C00

 (3)  
Do the activation procedure for the thrust reverser
 (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (4)  
AIRPLANES WITHOUT EIS;
 For the applicable engine, remove DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these
 circuit breakers:

 

 (a)  P6 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) EGT IND ENG 1
 2) EGT IND ENG 2

 (5)  AIRPLANES WITH EIS;
 For the applicable engine, remove DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these
 circuit breakers:

 (a)  P6 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) EIS PRI 2
 2) EIS PRI 4
