(b)  
Remove the two bolts, two nuts, and two clamp halves that attach the left harness and the lower extension harness to the engine bracket.

 (c)  
Remove the two bolts and two nuts that attach the left junction box to the engine flange.

 (2)  Do these steps to disconnect the connector:
 (a)  
Disconnect the connector (on the lower extension harness) from the left junction box with the fork wrench.

 (b)  
Put protective caps on the connector and the receptacle.

 (3)  Do these steps to remove the probes:
 (a)  
Remove the two bolts that attach each probe to the engine boss.

 (b)  
ENGINES WITH EGT AIR DEFLECTORS; Remove the EGT air deflector from each probe.

 (c)  
Carefully remove the probes from the engine.

 (d)  
Put protective caps on the probes and the engine bosses.

 (1)  Do these steps to install the probes (Fig. 402):
 (a)  
Remove protective caps from the probes and the engine bosses.

 (b)  
Carefully install the probes in the engine bosses.

 1)  Install the lower probe, then the center probe, and then the upper probe.

 (c)  
Apply a thin layer of antiseize compound to the bolts that attach the probes.

(d)  ENGINES WITH EGT AIR DEFLECTORS;
 Put the EGT air deflector on each probe.

 NOTE: A deflector is not installed at the No. 1 probe.

 (e)  Install the two bolts to attach each probe. 1) Tighten each bolt to 100-110 pound-inches (11.5-12.5 N.m). 2) Install a lockwire or a safety cable on each bolt.

 (2)  Do these steps to attach the connector:
 (a)  
Remove protective caps from the connector and the receptacle.

 (b)  
Connect the connector (from the lower extension harness) to the left junction box. 1) Tighten the connector with the fork wrench to


 170-190 pound-inches (19-21 N.m). 2) Install a lockwire or a safety cable on the connector.

 (3)  Do these steps to attach the harness:
 (a)  
Apply a thin layer of antiseize compound to the bolts.

 (b)  
Install the two bolts and two nuts that attach the left junction box to the engine flange. 1) Tighten the nut to 100-110 pound-inches (11.5-12.5 N.m).

 (c)  
Install the clamp half, the bolt, and the nut that attach the harness to the engine bracket at two locations. 1) Tighten the nuts to 30-35 pound-inches (3.5-4 N.m).

 (d)  
Install the two clamp halves, two bolts, and two nuts that attach the left harness and the lower extension harness to the engine bracket. 1) Tighten the nuts to 30-35 pound-inches (3.5-4 N.m).


 F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
