EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE (EGT) INDICATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the EGT indicator.
The second task installs the EGT indicator.

2. Remove the EGT Indicator________________________
A. Access
(1) Location Zone
(a) 101, 102 Control Cabin
B. Procedure

(1) For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers:
(a) P6 Load Control Center
1) EGT IND ENG 1
2) EGT IND ENG 2

(2) Remove the EGT indicator (Fig. 401).
(a) Loosen the adjustment screw of the clamp that attaches the indicator to the instrument panel.
NOTE: The adjustment screw has a round head.

(b) Carefully pull the indicator from the instrument panel.
CAUTION: CLEARLY IDENTIFY CONNECTIONS BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM.
_______ CROSS-CONNECTION OF THE EGT INDICATOR (ON THE P2 INSTRUMENT PANEL) IS A POSSIBILITY WHEN YOU WORK WITH THIS COMPONENT.
(c) Disconnect the electrical connector from the indicator.
