CAUTION: BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE CONNECTOR, REMOVE THE
_______ NEAREST CLAMP OR STRAP WHICH SECURES THE LEAD TO THE BRACKET. DAMAGE TO THE LEAD CAN RESULT.
3) Disconnect the electrical connector, D2954, or the terminal block, T1012, at the 9:30 interface. a) Disconnect the right EGT extension harness at the right
secondary junction box. b) Disconnect the main junction box extension at the upper and lower left secondary junction box.
(b) Do the harness resistance test. 1) Connect the test lead connector, 856A3317, to the right ú harness segment and the ohmmeter. 2) Measure the resistance value SH1.
a) Make a record of SH1. ú 3) Invert the polarity on the ohmmeter.

4) Measure the resistance value SH2. a) Make a record of SH2. 5) Calculate the final resistance value:
a) Subtract the resistance value of the leads from the average of the recorded resistance values ([SH1 + SH2] divided by 2).
ú 6) Disconnect the test lead and the ohmmeter from the harness ú receptacle. ú 7) With the megohmmeter, measure the insulation resistance
between one pin and the case. 8) Replace the right harness segment for these conditions: a) The final resistance value is not between 0.41 and
0.57 ohms. b) The insulation resistance is less than 10M ohms. 9) Connect the test lead connector, 856A3317, to the upper ú left harness segment and the ohmmeter. 10) Measure the resistance value CH1. a) Make a record of CH1. ú 11) Invert the polarity on the ohmmeter. 12) Measure the resistance value CH2. a) Make a record of CH2. 13) Calculate the final resistance value:
