E. Procedure

(1) Do these steps to attach the connector or terminals (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove protective caps from the connectors and the receptacles.
(b)
Connect the connector (on the forward extension cable) to the main junction box. 1) Tighten the connector with the fork wrench to
170-190 pound-inches (19-21 N.m). 2) Install a lockwire or a safety cable on the connector.
(c)
ENGINES WITH INTERFACE CONNECTOR; Attach the connector: 1) Install the four screws and the two shims that attach the
interface connector to the bracket.
a) Install the screws from the bottom side of the bracket.
b) Tighten the screws to 25-30 pound-inches (3-3.5 N.m).
c) Install a lockwire or a safety cable to the screws.
2) Connect the connector to the airplane wires. a) Tighten the connector to 21 pound-inches (2.4 N.m).
(d) ENGINES WITH INTERFACE TERMINALS;
Attach the two interface terminals with two nuts.
NOTE: The Chromel lead attaches to the bottom terminal.
____ Install the terminals of the forward extension cable under the terminals of the airplane wires.
1) Tighten the bottom nut to 15-20 pound-inches (1.7-2.3 N.m). 2) Tighten the top nut to 25-30 pound-inches (3-3.5 N.m).

(2) Do these steps to attach the harness:
(a)
Apply a thin layer of antiseize compound to the bolts.
(b)
Install the loop clamp, the bolt, and the nut that attach the extension cable to the engine brackets at three locations. 1) Tighten the bolts and the nuts to 50-55 pound-inches
(5.5-6.5 N.m).
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(a) P6 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) EGT IND ENG 1
2) EGT IND ENG 2
