2)  If the ARINC 429 reader shows 1, there is a failure of the AVM signal conditioner and it should be replaced.

 (7)  AVM SIGNAL CONDITIONERS WITH A 24-DIGIT LED DISPLAY ON THE FRONT PANEL; Do these steps to do a self test of the AVM signal conditioner:
 NOTE:  The AVM signal condition part numbers that follow have a
 24-digit LED display on the front panel:

 -S360N021-113/-114
 -S360N021-213.
 (a)  
Make sure the vibration indication on panel P2 is zero.

 (b)  
Push and release one of the four buttons on the front display of the AVM signal conditioner. 1) If the AVM signal conditioner is blank, do the

 troubleshooting that shows for an AVM Indication Problem (AMM 71-00-54/101).

 (c)  
AIRPLANES WITH AN S360N021-213 AVM; The AVM signal conditioner will show SELF TEST?. 1) Push and release the YES button on the front display of the

 AVM signal conditioner.
 NOTE:  All of the front display will illuminate for 1-3
____
 seconds.

 2)  Make sure that the AVM signal conditioner shows SELFTEST PASSED.
 NOTE:  The AVM signal conditioner passed the self test.
____ The front display will then go out of view.
 3)  If the AVM signal conditioner shows SELFTEST FAILED REPLACE or is blank, there is a failure of the AVM signal conditioner. a) Replace the AVM signal conditioner and do the self test
 again.
 (d)  AIRPLANES WITH AN S360N021-113 OR -114 AVM; The AVM signal conditioner will show Self Test?. 1) Push and release the YES button on the front display of the
 AVM signal conditioner.
 a)  If the display on the AVM signal conditioner is blank, do the troubleshooting that shows for an AVM Indication Problem (AMM 71-00-54/101).
 2)  The AVM signal conditioner will show the hardware and software versions for 12 seconds, then show Test in progress for approximately two seconds.

3)  Make sure that the AVM signal conditioner shows Test OK.
 NOTE: The AVM signal conditioner passed the self test.
____ After Test OK, push and release the NO button to show Fault History? on the front display of the AVM signal conditioner. If the AVM signal conditioner is left alone for 5 minutes, the display will then turn off.
 4)  If the AVM signal conditioner shows XX Faults Display? or is blank, there is a failure of the AVM signal conditioner.
 NOTE: XX is the total number of faults.

 a)  If the front display on the AVM signal conditioner is blank, replace the AVM signal conditioner and do the self test again.
 b)  If there are XX Faults Display?, do the system test for the Airborne Vibration Monitoring (AVM) System (AMM 77-31-00/201).
