NACELLE STRUT - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. There is one task in this procedure:
(1) The adjustment of the access panels and the fairing on the nacelle strut for correct aerodynamic smoothness.
B. You must adjust the fairing door and the access panel of the nacelle strut to make sure they are aerodynamically smooth with the structure.
C. You must do this procedure when you replace an access panel or a fairing to make sure the clearances with the structure are in the limits.

2. Nacelle Strut Adjustment________________________
A. General
(1) When you adjust the access panels and fairings, it can be necessary to decrease or increase the surface to get the correct aerodynamic smoothness clearances.
(a)
To increase the height of the panel or fairing, you can add shims.
(b)
To decrease the thickness, you must remove material from the panel or fairing.
