Examine the structure for cracks, nicks, dents or other damage (SRM 54-50-02).

(1) This blanket is on the bottom side of the strut, forward of the spar fitting (NSTA 276.60).

E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Install the turbine exhaust sleeve (AMM 78-11-01/401).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL TOOLS AND UNWANTED MATERIALS FROM THE
_______ STRUT CAVITIES. IF OBJECTS ARE IN THE STRUT COMPARTMENTS, THEY CAN STOP THE REMOVAL OF THE FLUIDS THROUGH THE STRUT DRAINS. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE UNWANTED MATERIALS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STRUT.
(2)
Remove all tools and unwanted materials from the strut cavities before you install the access doors.

Apply BMS 5-63 sealant 0.10-0.15 to the following areas on the exterior of the firewall.
(a)
Sealant should cover the fitting flange.
(b)
Between the flange of the fitting and the firewall where the heat sheild blanket does not cover the firewall.
