AFT FAIRINGS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure:
(1)
The first task removes the aft fairings
(2)
The second task installs the aft fairings.

2. Remove the Aft Fairings_______________________
A. General
(1) You can use the instructions given in this procedure to remove all the fairings on the aft nacelle strut.

Make sure the start switch in the flight compartment is in the CUTOFF position.

(2)
Make sure the FUEL VALVE CLOSED light on the pilot's overhead panel, P5, illuminates dim, which shows the valve is closed.

WARNING: DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE FOR THE THRUST REVERSER FOR
_______ GROUND MAINTENANCE TO PREVENT THE OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER. ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).
