If not done, do the procedure to remove the forward engine mount.
S 212-012-B00
(2)
Do an inspection for wear of the forward engine mounts. Use the wear limits given in Figure 202.
(a)
If the wear is more than the limits, replace the parts.
(b)
The permitted forward and aft freeplay in the left crossbeam to strut fitting joint is 0.002 to 0.014 inches.

(4)
Do a check of the vibration isolator elastomer.
NOTE: To make an inspection of the strut structure, which
____ includes the crossbeam assembly, refer to SRM 54-50-90.
(a)
Do the inspection of the engine mount using the data from the Vendor Component Maintenance Manual (CMM 54-40-02).
(b)
Make an inspection of the metal area of the vibration isolator elastomer. Use the limits given below to repair the damage. 1) If you find nicks and gouges:
a) Nicks and gouges less than 0.030 inch (0.762 mm) in depth can be polished. b) Nicks and gouges more than 0.030 inch (0.762 mm) are not permitted. 2) If you find cracks and deformation of the metal: a) Cracks and deformation of the metal are not permitted.
