(a) Do a check of the bushing flange for wear (if the flange rubs an adjacent part of the structure). 1) If the flange face thickness has greater than 25% wear,
replace the bushing.
NOTE: Refer to SRM 54-50-90 for bushings on the strut
____ structure or CMM 54-50-01 for bushings on the upper link or diagonal brace.
(b)
Remove the sealant.
(c)
Do a check for corrosion around the flange of the bushing. 1) If you see corrosion, replace the bushing.

If you do not find corrosion or flange face thickness wear less than 25%, fillet seal the outside edge of the bushing flange with BMS5-95 sealant (AMM 20-30-11/201).
(e)
Do the inspection for migration again at the next "C" check.

NACELLE STRUT DRAIN TUBE AND SEALANT - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. There are four tasks in this procedure:
(1)
System disconnect box drainage check
(2)
Strut midspar drainage check
(3)
Strut midspar closeout web drainage check
(4)
Heat shield assembly drainage check
B. Apply the sealant to the heat shield and the interior of the nacelle strut. It prevents the leakage of the fuel or the hydraulic fluid between the strut compartments or to the engine. Do a check on the strut for the correct strut sealing.
C. The drain system supplied a way for fluids which leak from the system plumbing to route through the strut to a safe location outside the airplane. The procedures to clear the strut drain system of blockages, and includes the use of the compress air and water.

(1) Remove the forward fairing (AMM 54-32-01/401).
(a) Use the procedure given in AMM 54-31-01/401 to remove and attach the clamp latch fasteners.
