5) If the resistance is not in the limits, adjust the variable resistor in the tester to get the correct resistance. 6) Remove the wheatstone bridge or the multimeter.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT THE WHITE (CHROMEL) WIRE TO THE
_______ "CR" TERMINAL. MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT THE GREEN (ALUMEL) WIRE TO THE "AL" TERMINAL. THE INCORRECT OPERATION OF THE TESTER CAN OCCUR IF YOU DO NOT CORRECTLY CONNECT THE WIRES.
7) Connect the wires to the temperature indicator terminals. 8) Attach the instrument panel to the tester with the screws.
(i)
Remove the cap from the fuel pressure port (43) on the fuel control unit.
(j)
Connect the fuel pressure hose (42) to the fuel pressure port (43) and the fuel pressure coupling (3) on the tester.
(k)
Remove the cap from the control-air pressure port (41) on the load control thermostat.
(l)
Connect the control-air pressure hose (40) to the control-air pressure port (41) and the control-air pressure coupling (11) on the tester.
(m)
Remove the cap from the oil pressure port (39) on the oil pressure switch.
(n)
Connect the oil pressure hose (38) to the oil pressure port (39) and the oil pressure coupling (9) on the tester.
(o)
Disconnect the electrical connector (37) from the tachometer generator (36).
(p)
Connect the electrical cable or test cable assembly (46) to the tachometer generator (36) and the electrical connector (37).
(q)
Connect the electrical cable or test cable assembly (46) to the tester receptacle (13).

(5) Prepare to start the APU:
(a) Supply the external electrical power to the airplane
(AMM 24-22-00/201).

(6) Make sure these switches on the P5 forward overhead panel are set correctly:
(a)
Set the DC selector switch to the BAT position.
(b)
Set the AC selector switch to the APU GEN position.
(c)
Set the BAT switch to the ON position.
(d)
Set the APU BLEED switch to the OFF position.
(e)
Momentarily, set one of the two APU GEN switches to the ON position to close the field relay.
(f)
Set the No. 1 AFT FUEL PUMP switch to the ON position.
