(j)  Set the tester load switch (29) to the OFF position.
 (k)  Set the air conditioning R PACK and L PACK switches to the OFF
 position.
 (l)  Set the APU BLEED switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to
 the OFF position.
 (m)  Let the APU operate at the stable speed with no load applied
 for a minimum of 1 minute.
 (n)  Do the APU usual shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
 (o)  If the time between the load switch operation and the first
 maximum fuel pressure indication was more than 12-14 seconds,
 adjust the bleed air valve:
 NOTE: The are two configurations of the adjustment screw____
 for the rate control. Each has special precautions that
 you must follow when you make the adjustments.
 1) APU WITH CONFIGURATION 1;
 Adjust the opening rate:
 a) Loosen the jamnut with the sleeve on the adjustment
 screw for the rate control.
 b) To increase the opening rate, turn the adjustment screw
 clockwise.
 NOTE: If it is not easy to make the adjustment,____
 the needle valve can be dirty.
 c) To decrease the opening rate, turn the adjustment screw
 counterclockwise.
 d) Tighten the adjustment screw jamnut.
 2) APU WITH CONFIGURATION 2;
 Adjust the opening rate:
 a) Loosen the jamnut on the adjustment screw for the rate
 control.
 b) Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase the
 opening rate.
 NOTE: The adjustment can only be done in the____
 clockwise direction. If you turn the screw too
 far, you will have to remove the screw and the
 sleeve. If the screw and the sleeve come out,
 you must install them and do the adjustment
 again.

c) Tighten the jamnut on the adjustment screw.
 (p)  
Do all of the above test steps again until the adjustment of the bleed air valve is correct.

 (q)  
AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE ETC; If the EGT temperature for the load control thermostat was not in the specified limit, replace the load control thermostat (AMM 49-52-32/401) and adjust the load control thermostat (AMM 49-52-32/501).

 (r)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE ETC; If the EGT temperature is not in the limits, adjust the ETC (AMM 49-61-71/501).

 (6)  Remove the turbine engine tester from the engine (Fig. 503):
 (a)  
Make sure the BAT switch on the P5 forward overhead panel is in the OFF position.

 (b)  
Disconnect the electrical cable or test cable assembly (46) from the tester and the engine.

 (c)  
AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE ETC; Disconnect the leads of the electrical cable or adapter cable assembly (46) from the terminals of the EGT thermocouple probe.

 (d)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE ETC; Disconnect the leads of the electrical cable or adapter cable assembly (46) from the studs of the ETC thermocouple probe.

 (e)  
AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE ETC; Connect the leads of the thermocouple harness to the terminals of the EGT thermocouple probe.
