(2) Access Panels
3701 Stabilizer Trim Access Door
B. Procedure
S 865-009
(1) Set these switches on the P5 forward overhead panel:
(a)
Set the BAT switch to the ON position.
(b)
Set the APU master switch to the ON position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(c)
After the air inlet door opens, set the BAT switch to the OFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Make sure the access door to the actuator for the air inlet door is
open.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the door switch.

(4)
Remove the door switch from the airplane:
(a)
Remove the screws that attach the baseplate to the air diffuser duct.
(b)
Remove the door switch and the baseplate.
(c)
Remove the lockwire, nut and lockwasher that attach the door switch to the baseplate.
(d)
Remove the door switch from the baseplate.
(e)
If it is necessary to replace the door switch, remove the keying washer and the nut.

(5) Install the door switch to the airplane:
(a)
Install the door switch to the baseplate in this sequence: the nut, keying washer, baseplate, lockwasher and nut.
(b)
Put the door switch into the air diffuser duct.
NOTE: The door switch plunger must touch the air inlet
____ door. Do not compress the door switch plunger.
(c)
Turn the nuts on the door switch. At the same time, adjust the location of the baseplate. The clearance between the baseplate and the air diffuser duct must be 0.20-0.25 inches (5-6 mm).
(d)
Put the tab of the keying washer on the flat side of the nut.
(e)
Tighten the nut to 30-40 pound-inches (3.4-4.5 newton-meters).
(f)
Install a lockwire on the nut.
(g)
Install the baseplate on the air diffuser duct with the screws.

(6) Connect the electrical connector to the door switch.
