(b)  Set the No. 1 AFT FUEL PUMP switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to the ON position.
 NOTE: If you must use the fuel boost pumps in the
____ center tank, you must have a maintenance person or observer in the flight compartment to continuously monitor the LOW PRESSSURE lights. Turn the applicable fuel boost pump to the OFF position if the LOW PRESSURE light for the center tank stays on.
 (c)  
Examine the fuel inlet line with the cap to make sure there is no fuel leakage. 1) If you find leakage, tighten the cap on the fuel inlet

 line.

 (d)  
Set the No. 1 AFT FUEL PUMP switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to the OFF position.

 (e)  
Close the APU fuel valve with the manual override lever.

 (11) Blow the compressed air through the drains on the lower shroud to make sure there is no blockage.

 CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
 (12) Install the lower shroud:
 (a)  
Hold the lower shroud against the upper shroud.

 (b)  
Close the shroud latches.

 11. APU System Activation (The APU Removed)_____________________
 A. General
 (1)  
This procedure gives the steps to prepare the APU for operation.

 (2)  
To prepare the airplane for flight with the APU installed again, you must remove the protective caps, covers and plugs in the upper shroud and install the APU. Also, you must activate the air inlet door, APU fuel valve, APU master switch and the applicable circuit breakers.

 (4)  Do the activation of the APU compartment (Fig. 206):
 (a)  
Remove the dummy plug assembly from the receptacle for the APU fire detector.

 (b)  
Remove the caps from these electrical connectors in the upper shroud: 1) AIRPLANES WITH THE ETC;

 The receptacle for the electronic temperature control 2) the receptacle for the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) 3) the receptacle for the APU harness 4) the receptacle for the starter motor 5) the receptacle for the APU electrical generator 6) the receptacle for the generator control.
