FOR THE F80136-33 TOOL KIT; Do these steps: 1) Remove the cap chain from the receptacle attachment screw. 2) Remove the cap from the electrical receptacle of the APU

 fuel valve. 3) Remove the electrical harness with the cap chain from the airplane structure. 4) Remove the cap from the electrical connector D920 for the APU fuel valve.

Connect the electrical connector D920 to the APU fuel valve.

 12. APU Preservation (Less Than 180 Days)

 A. General
 (1)  This procedure gives the instructions for the preservation of the APU. To do the APU preservation task you must operate the APU. There are no special instruction for the preservation of the APU if it is not in service for 180 days or less.

 (1)  Operate the APU:
 (a)  
Do the steps as specified in the APU Start and Operation.

 (b)  
Permit the APU to operate with no load for a minimum of 5 minutes.

 (c)  
Do the steps as specified in the APU Usual Shutdown.

Make sure the APU has protection from water and unwanted materials:

 (a)  
Install plugs, caps, and covers on all ports and openings for the APU.

 (b)  
Install a cover for the exhaust duct muffler.

Make sure the air inlet door is fully closed.

 (4)  Attach a preservation tag, that has the date of preservation on it, to the APU master switch.

 13. APU Preservation (181 to 365 Days)

 A. General
 (1)  
This task gives the instructions for the preservation of the APU. To do the preservation task, you must flush the fuel solenoid valve and drain the oil tank.

 (2)  
If the APU is not in service after 365 days, it must be removed from the airplane.


 B. Equipment

Container - for fuel, 5 U.S. Gallon (18.9 L) capacity

 (2)  
Container - for oil, 5 U.S. Gallon (18.9 L) capacity
