F. Procedure

(1) Set the switch and the circuit breaker:
(a)
Set the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to the OFF position and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.
(b)
Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit

(2) Open the APU cowl door:
(a)
Open the latches for the APU cowl door.
(b)
Open the APU cowl door.
(c)
Connect the door support rods.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE LOWER SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the lower shroud:
(a)
Hold the lower shroud and open the shroud latches.
(b)
Remove the lower shroud.

(4) Install the turbine engine tester on the engine:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector D1252 on the APU harness (47) from the receptacle D452 in the upper shroud.
(b)
Connect the electrical cable or test cable assembly (46) to the electrical connector D1252 and the receptacle D452.
NOTE: The connectors on the electrical cable or test cable
____ assembly are identified by aluminum markers.

(c) AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE ETC;
Disconnect the leads of the thermocouple harness from the
terminals of the EGT thermocouple probe.
(d) AIRPLANES WITH THE ETC;
Disconnect the leads of the thermocouple harness from the studs
of the ETC thermocouple probe.
(e) AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE ETC;
Connect the leads of the electrical cable or adapter cable
assembly (46) to the terminals of the EGT thermocouple probe.
NOTE: If the adapter cable assembly is used, the test cable____
assembly must be connected to the adapter cable
assembly.
(f) AIRPLANES WITH THE ETC;
Connect the leads of the electrical cable or adapter cable
assembly (46) to the studs of the ETC thermocouple probe.
NOTE: If the adapter cable assembly is used, the test cable____
assembly must be connected to the adapter cable
assembly.
(g) Connect the electrical cable or test cable assembly (46) to
the electronic speed switch (44) and the electrical
connectors (45).
(h) When you use the tester for the first time, do a check of the
EGT loop resistance as follows:
1) Remove the screws that attach the instrument panel to the
temperature indication circuit.
