_______ OF THE VORTEX GENERATOR OF THE AIR INLET DOOR. THE ACTUATOR MOTOR AND SLIP CLUTCH OF THE AIR INLET DOOR CAN BE DAMAGED IF THERE IS ICE. REMOVE THE ICE (AMM 12-33-01/301).
 CAUTION: IF THE EGT IS IN THE YELLOW BAND (710-760 DEG C) DURING THE APU
_______ OPERATION, DO THE APU USUAL SHUTDOWN AND DO THE CORRECTIVE ACTION. IF THE EGT IS MORE THAN THE RED LINE (760 DEG C) DURING THE APU START, DO THE APU USUAL SHUTDOWN AND EXAMINE THE APU FOR AN OVERTEMPERATURE DURING START. NO EXAMINATION IS NECESSARY IF THE EGT IS MORE THAN THE RED LINE (760 DEG C) DURING A HEAT SOAK AFTER YOU TRY AN APU START. IF THE EGT IS MORE THAN THE RED LINE (760 DEG C) DURING ANY STEADY-START OPERATION, DO THE APU USUAL SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATELY AND REPLACE THE APU.
 (7)  Set the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel to the START position and release it to the ON position.
 NOTE: If the air inlet door opens before you set the APU master
____ switch to the START position, the APU will not start.

 (8)  Make sure the LOW OIL PRESSURE light on the P5 forward overhead
 panel comes on.

 NOTE:____ The APU fuel valve is found in the rear spar of the left
 wing.  From the left wheel well, make sure the position
 indicator for the APU fuel valve is in the OPEN position.

 Monitor these indications on the P5 forward overhead panel:

 (a)  Monitor the DC AMPS meter and the DC VOLTS meter to see that the starter motor is energized.
 NOTE: When the starter motor energizes, the DC AMPS meter
____ will give a negative indication and the DC VOLTS meter can drop to 16-20 volts. After the APU engine starts to turn, the DC VOLTS meter will increase slowly to the initial voltage.
 (b)  
Make sure the LOW OIL PRESSURE light goes off.

 (c)  
Monitor the FREQ meter to make sure the APU increases its speed between 101.3% to 102.5%.

 NOTE: When the APU engine speed is between 101.3 to 102.5%,
____ the FREQ meter will become stable between 405-410 CPS with the field relay closed.

 (12) If the APU engine does not increase its speed to 100% speed in 90 seconds, put the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel in the OFF position.
 NOTE: If you start the APU again, make sure you follow the
____ starter duty cyle.
