A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
(2)
Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3)
Put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system: - on the ground service panel 198CB.
(4)
Put warning notice(s) on the access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir.

B. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
-put warning notice(s) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
Put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
-in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
(4)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
-make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(5)
Put warning notice(s) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(6)
Put a container below the case drain filter to collect the hydraulic fluid.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the left fan cowl door:
FOR 1000EM2 R open the door 447AL (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
(2)
Open the access door 195BB.
(3)
Put the access platform in position at the engine.

A. Removal of the Case Drain Filter
(1) Disconnect the upper case drain hose/tube (15) from the union (20) on the filter assembly (30).
NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the union (20) on the filter
____ assembly (30) when you loosen the coupling nut on the hose/tube.
(2)
Disconnect the lower case drain hose (45) from the elbow (40) on the filter assembly (30).
(3)
Remove the union (20) and the packing (25) from the filter assembly (30).
(4)
Remove the elbow (40), the nut (35) and the packing (25) from the filter assembly (30).
(5)
Remove the bolts (5) and the washers (10) that attach the filter assembly (30) to the support bracket.
(6)
Remove the filter assembly (30) from the engine.
(7)
Put protective covers on the open ports of the filter assembly (30), the hose/tube (15), the union (20), the elbow (40) and the hose (45).
(8)
Remove the container that was used to collect the hydraulic fluid.

_______ THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION : DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC
_______ FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
