R B. Safety Precautions
R (1) On the ENG panel 115VU:
R - make sure that the ENG 2 switch is in the OFF position
R - make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons
R not to start the engine.
R (2) Make sure that the engine 2 shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes
R before you do this procedure.
R (3) Make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not
R to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
R - on the HYD section of the panel 40VU.
R (4) On the ENG section of the panel 50VU:
R - make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC/GND/PWR 2 pushbutton
R switch is off
R - make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons
R not to energize the FADEC system.
R (5) Make sure that a container is in position.
R (6) Make sure that a cloth is in position below the pipe (4).

A. Installation of the Check Valve
(1) Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) on the new O-ring (2).
R (2) Install the O-ring (2) on the check valve (3) (Ref. TASK 20-29-00-
911-002).
(3)
Remove the blanking plug from the panel (1).
(4)
Install the check valve (3) on the panel (1).
R (5) TORQUE the check valve (3) to between 9.7 and 10.7 m.daN (71.53 and R 78.90 lbf.ft).
(6)
Remove the blanking plug from the pipe (4).
(7)
Connect the pipe (4) to the check valve (3).
(8)
TORQUE the coupling nut of the pipe (4) to between 7.5 and 8.3 m.daN
(55.30
and 61.20 lbf.ft).

(1)
Remove the cloth.
(2)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(3)
Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).

Make the thrust reverser system serviceable (Ref. TASK 78-30-00-440-040).

C. Operational Test
(1)
Do the operational test of the thrust reverser system (Ref. TASK 78-31-00-710-042).
(2)
Make sure that there are no leaks from the connections of the check valve (3).
(3)
Make sure that the level of hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. If necessary fill the reservoir (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
