Open the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).
(2)
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(3)
Release the pressure in the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).

Put the container below the drain valve on the hydraulic fluid reservoir.

Drain the reservoir fluid into the container to a level below the hydraulic sample valve.

Remove the hydraulic sample valve:
(a)
Remove the hydraulic sample valve from the reservoir port. 1) Discard the packings.
(b)
Install a cap on the reservoir port to prevent contamination.

Remove the cap from the reservoir port.
(b)
Lubricate the new packings with hydraulic fluid.
