PUMP CHECK VALVE (FIREWALL-MOUNTED) - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains the tasks to remove and install a check valve for a hydraulic hose that is installed on a firewall.
B. The EDP pressure hose and the case drain hose have a check valve that is installed on a firewall. The check valves are installed in the raceway for the engine nacelle firewall.
C. It is necessary to move the seals in the strut raceway to get access to the check valves. The raceway must have a full seal to prevent the leakage of fuel and hydraulic fluid on the engine. You must permit sufficient cure time for the raceway sealant when you install the check valves.
D. You can get access to the check valves through the right thrust reverser half.

OPEN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURIZES
THE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR. HYDRAULIC FLUID THAT HAS PRESSURE CAN
CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

Release the pneumatic system pressure (AMM 36-00-00/201).

Operate the bleed valve on the pressurization module to release the pressure in the reservoir (AMM 29-11-00/201).
