Procedure
(1)
Remove the cover from the pneumatic duct.

(2) Install the seal back on the flange of the turbine exhaust cascade. S 424-041
CAUTION:_______ BE CAREFUL WITH THE TURBINE DRIVE DURING THE INSTALLATION. A
ROUGH MOVEMENT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DRIVE UNIT OR THE
AIRPLANE STRUCTURE. A ROUGH MOVEMENT OF THE TURBINE DRIVE CAN
CAUSE OIL TO FLOW AROUND THE SHAFT SEAL AND COLLECT IN THE
EXHAUST SCROLL.
(3)
Install the turbine drive (2):
(a)
Carefully lift the turbine drive (2) into its position on the aft strut bulkhead.
(b)
Use the forward mounting hooks to hold the turbine drive (2).
(c)
Lubricate the bolts (12 and 14) and the bushing (13) with grease.
(d)
Install the bolt (12) through the strut bulkhead and the right forward mounting flange.
(e)
Install the bushing (13) on the bolt (14) with the hole in the bushing adjacent to the bolt head.
(f)
Install the bolt (14) through the strut bulkhead and the left forward mounting flange.
(g)
Do not tighten the bolts.
NOTE: The bolts go into the nut plates on the aft bulkhead.

(h)
Make sure the turbine drive (2) is correctly aligned with the pneumatic duct. 1) Adjust the length of the support rods (6) if it is
necessary to correctly align the turbine drive.
(i)
Install the bolts (3), the nuts (5), and the washers (4) for each support rod (6).
NOTE: The support rods are installed on the right side of
____ the aft mounting flange of the turbine drive. Make sure the bolt heads point out on each support rod. The washers are installed adjacent to the bolt head and the nut and between the support rod and the flange.
(j)
Tighten the bolts (3, 12, and 14).
(k)
Install the clamp (7) on the pneumatic duct.
1) Use the turnbuckle that attaches the clamp to the structure to align the clamp if it is necessary.
(l)
Tighten the turbine exhaust cascade (10) with the screws (11).
(m)
Connect the electrical connector DM647B (1) to the position switch on the shutoff valve actuator.

(4) Connect the electrical connector DM647A (9) to the electrical component receptacle.

(5) Install the ADP (AMM 29-11-17/401).

(6) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close the 7J1 HYDRAULICS DEMAND 1 circuit breaker on the P7 circuit breaker panel.

(7) Fill the oil system for the turbine drive (2) if it is necessary (AMM 12-13-09/301).

(8) Look at the EICAS HYD display to monitor the hydraulic reservoir level.
(a) Fill the hydraulic reservoir if it is necessary (AMM 12-12-01/301).

(9) Do the test of the turbine drive installation: (a) Install the ADP muffler on the turbine exhaust. (b) Apply the leak detector to the pneumatic duct clamp (7). (c) Supply pressure to the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201). (d) Put the HYD DEMAND 1 switch on the P5 panel in the ON position. (e) Examine the turbine drive installation for leakage. 1) If you find leakage, repair the cause of it. (f) Put the HYD DEMAND 1 switch in the OFF position. (g) Release the pressure in the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201). (h) Remove the ADP muffler.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU LATCH THE FAIRING DOORS ON THE TRAILING EDGE
_______ CORRECTLY. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE DOORS OPEN DURING A FLIGHT.
