D. If there is leakage found in the pressure hose from the engine driven pump (EDP), do the following steps to deactivate the EDP:
NOTE: This procedure or a similar one cannot be used for a leaking case
____ drain or supply hose; it can only be used for a leaking pressure hose.

Depressurize hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Get access to the pump:
(a)
Open the engine right side cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

Remove the pressure hose from the pump.

Plug the pump output port and the strut hydraulic line.

CAUTION: DO NOT PLACE THE SWITCH IN "SUPPLY OFF." THIS WILL CLOSE THE

SHUTOFF VALVE AND BLOCK FLUID FLOW TO THE PUMP.
(5)
Place the EDP Control Switch in the "Depressurize" position.
(6)
Tag the pump depressurization switch in the Flight Deck.

Perform a dry motor of engine run with the pump switch in the ON position.

(1) Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU RELEASE THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURE BEFORE YOU
_______ OPEN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURIZES THE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR. HYDRAULIC FLUID THAT HAS PRESSURE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(2) Release the pressure in the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).

2) 7H2 EDP DEPRESS 2
3) 7G2 EDP DEPRESS 3
4) 7F2 EDP DEPRESS 4

Open the thrust reverser half on the right side of the engine (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Disconnect the EDP (1):
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector DV349 from the EDP (1).
(b)
Loosen the four nuts (2) which attach the pump to the engine gearbox approximately three turns.
NOTE: If you must loosen the nuts (2) more than three
____ turns hit the shell of the nut to release the self-locking property of the nut.
