Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(2) Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (Ref par. 5).

(3) Open the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the strut
(AMM 54-62-00/201).

(4) Open the right thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

(5) Remove and inspect the check valves:
(a) Do the steps which follow for the check valves, for the
pressure and case drain, at the EDP (AMM 29-11-06/401):
1) Remove the check valve.
2) Visually inspect the check valve. If you find
contamination, remove it.
3) Make sure check valve operates correctly. Use a nylon
probe.
a) Make sure the poppet moves freely.
4) Install the check valve.
(b) Do the above steps for the check valves, for the pressure and
case drain of the EDP, on the engine firewall
(AMM 29-11-07/401).
(c) Do the steps which follow for the check valve, for the EDP, in
the pressure module (AMM 29-11-23/201):
1) Remove the check valve.
2) Visually inspect the check valve. If you find
contamination, remove it.
3) Make sure check valve operates correctly. Use a nylon
probe.
a) Make sure the poppet moves freely.
4) Install the check valve.
(d) Do the above steps for the check valve, for the EDP, in the
case drain module (AMM 29-11-18/201).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU USE BMS 3-11 HYDRAULIC FLUID TO FLUSH THE
_______ HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. HYDRAULIC FLUID WHICH DOES NOT AGREE WITH THE BMS 3-11 SPECIFICATION CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
(6)
Flush the pressure line:
(a)
Connect the pressure line of the hydraulic service cart to the EDP pressure hose.
