MAINTENANCE MANUAL

 (b)  Disconnect the electrical connector (1), for the applicable
 system, from the position switch on the shutoff valve actuator:
 1) DM647B for system 1
 2) DM874B for system 4.
 (c)  Remove the screws (16).
 (d)  Remove the bolts (5 and 8), the washers (6), the spacer (9),
 and the nuts (7).
 (e)  Remove the two clamps (4) from the wire harness.
 (f)  Disconnect the pressurization hose (3) for the hydraulic
 reservoir from the pneumatic duct.
 1) Install caps on the hose and the port to prevent
 contamination.
 (g)  Remove the clamp (13) that attaches the turbine drive (2) to
 the pneumatic duct.
 (h)  Remove the nuts (20), washers (21), and the bolts (22) to
 disconnect the support rods (17) from the aft flange of the
 turbine drive (2).
 NOTE: Make sure you hold the turbine drive during the____
 removal to prevent damage to the drive unit or the
 airplane structure.
 1) Do not remove the support rods from the mounting bracket
 (10).
 (i)  Remove the bolt (12) and the washer (11) from the left side
 support strut of the mounting bracket (10).
 (j)  Remove the bolts (18) and the washers (19) that attach the
 mounting bracket to the strut bulkhead.
 (k)  Remove the mounting bracket (10).

 CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WITH THE TURBINE DRIVE DURING THE REMOVAL. A ROUGH MOVEMENT OF THE TURBINE DRIVE CAN CAUSE OIL TO FLOW AROUND THE TURBINE SHAFT SEAL AND COLLECT IN THE EXHAUST SCROLL.
 (l)  
Remove the bolt (26) and the bushing (25) from the forward left side mounting flange.

 (m)  
Remove the bolt (24) from the forward right side mounting flange.

 (n)  
Carefully lift the turbine drive (2) around the pneumatic duct and remove it through the right side of the strut.

 (o)  Remove the seal from the flange of the turbine drive exhaust and remove the turbine exhaust cascade (15) from the turbine drive.

 CAUTION: TO PREVENT OIL FROM ENTERING INLET AND CONTAMINATING CARBON
_______ SEAL, OIL MUST BE DRAINED AFTER TURBINE DRIVE IS REMOVED.

 Drain oil from oil sump

 Examine the condition of the screen in the air inlet of the pneumatic duct.

 (a)  
Clean or replace the screen if it is necessary (AMM 36-11-24/401).

 (12) Install a cover on the pneumatic duct to prevent contamination.
