E. Procedure

(1)
Examine the condition of the overspeed trip valve:
(a)
Open the right fairing door on the trailing edge of the strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).
(b)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(c)
Install the ADP muffler on the turbine exhaust.
(d)
Supply pressure to the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).
(e)
Put the applicable HYD DEMAND switch on the P5 panel in the ON position. 1) If the ADP turbine drive operates, you do not have to set
the overspeed trip valve.
(f)
Put the applicable HYD DEMAND switch in the OFF position.
(g)
Release the pressure in the pneumatic system
(AMM 36-00-00/201).
(h)
Remove the ADP muffler.
(i)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary for other operations (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(2)
Set the overspeed trip valve:
(a)
Remove the reset plug from the overspeed trip valve.
CAUTION: DO NOT PUSH THE PISTON MORE THAN IS NECESSARY TO SET THE
_______ VALVE. A MOVEMENT OF THE INNER PISTON THROUGH THE SET POINT WILL BREAK THE VALVE DIAPHRAGM OR THE OIL SEAL BOOT.
(b)
Put the dowel in the reset plug port.
(c)
Carefully push the inner piston forward until you hear a click.
NOTE: The click is an indication that the valve is set.

(d)
Remove the dowel.
(e)
Install the reset plug. 1) Install a lockwire between the reset plug and the valve.
CAUTION: IF UNIT TRIPS DURING TEST, DO NOT RESET UNTIL MALFUNCTION
_______ HAS BEEN DETERMINED. DAMAGE TO UNIT MAY OCCUR.
(f) Test turbine drive (AMM 29-11-08/401).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU LATCH THE FAIRING DOORS ON THE TRAILING EDGE
_______ CORRECTLY. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE DOORS OPEN DURING A FLIGHT.
(g) Close the right fairing door on the trailing edge of the strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

3. Inspect the ADP Turbine Drive Magnetic Drain Plug

(1)
After it has been determined that the ADP Turbine Drive Magnetic Plug has metal particles : you must
(a)
Drain the oil from the Turbine Drive.
(b)
Clean the Turbine Drive magnetic plug.
(c)
Replace The Turbine Drive oil filter. (AMM 29-11-14/401).
(d)
Refill/Service the Turbine Drive. (AMM 12-13-09/301).
(e)
Operate the ADP for a minimum of twenty (20) minutes.
(f)
Drain the oil from the Turbine Drive and check the magnetic plug for metal particles.
(g)
If metal particles are found, replace the Air-Driven Pump Turbine Drive (AMM 29-11-08/401).
(h)
If metal particles are not found, refill/service the Turbine Drive (AMM 12-13-09/301).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU LATCH THE FAIRING DOORS ON THE TRAILING EDGE
_______ CORRECTLY. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE DOORS OPEN DURING A FLIGHT.
(i) Close the right fairing door on the trailing edge of the strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).
