If you use a hydraulic service cart for the pressure source, connect the hydraulic service cart (AMM 29-11-00/201):

 (a)  
Connect the cart to the ground-service disconnect on the pressure module of the No. 1 and No. 4 hydraulic systems.

 (b)  
Install a flowmeter in the cart pressure line which connects to the No. 1 hydraulic system.

 (c)  
Connect the return line on the hydraulic service cart to the No. 1 and No. 4 return modules (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (6)  
If you use the system demand pump for the pressure source, release the pressure in hydraulic system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (a)  
Install a flowmeter in the pressure line on the No. 1 demand pump between the pump and the pressure module.

 (b)  
Make sure there is a minimum of 2000 pounds (900 kg) of fuel in the No. 1 and No. 4 main fuel tanks.


 NOTE: The fuel weight values are calculated with a fuel
____ density of 6.7 pounds per gallon.

 (7)  Make sure the control column, the control wheel, and the rudder pedals are in the neutral position.
 NOTE: It is not necessary for the flaps and the stabilizer to be in

Pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and No. 4 to 3000 psig.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Operate the flight controls through four or five cycles.

Operate the inboard flaps through 3 full cycles.

Keep the flight controls in the neutral position.

 F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)  
Release the pressure in hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4
 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (2)  
If you used the system demand pump for a pressure source, remove the flowmeter:

 (a)  
Remove the flowmeter from the pressure line of the demand pump.

 (b)  
Connect the pressure line for the demand pump to the pump port for the demand pump.

 (c)  
Put the system HYD PUMPS DEMAND switch in the ON position (P5 Overhead Panel).
