Disconnect the hydraulic hose below the check valve.

Drain the hydraulic fluid from the hose above the check valve:
(a)
Put the container below the check valve.
(b)
Lightly put a thin object into the end of the check valve.
(c)
Push against the poppet in the check valve to drain the hydraulic fluid.

Remove the cover plate:
(a)
Remove the sealant from the edges of the cover plate.
(b)
Remove the mounting screws.

(1)
Apply the sealant on the faying surfaces of the valve mounting flange (AMM 51-31-01/201).
S 424-012
(2)
Install the check valve:
(a)
Put the check valve on the firewall.
(b)
Align the attach holes in the mounting flange with the holes in the firewall.
(c)
Attach the check valve with the four mounting bolts.
S 394-013
(3) Apply the sealant around the attach holes on the valve mounting flange (AMM 51-31-01/201).

(4) S 434-014Connect the hydraulic hose and the tube to the check valve.
(5) S 614-015Do this task: "Hydraulic Reservoir Servicing" (AMM 12-12-01/301).
(6) S 864-016Pressurize the applicable hydraulic system with the EDP (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(7) S 214-017Examine the check valve connections for leaks. (a) If you find leakage, repair the cause of it.
(8) S 394-018Apply the sealant on the faying surfaces of the cover plate (AMM 51-31-01/201).
(9) S 414-019Attach the cover plate with the mounting screws.
