WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE YOU RELEASE THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURE BEFORE YOU
OPEN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURIZES
THE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR. HYDRAULIC FLUID THAT HAS PRESSURE CAN
CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

Release the pressure in the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).

Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Open the 7J1 HYDRAULICS DEMAND 1 circuit breaker on the P7 circuit breaker panel and install a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.

Remove the ADP (AMM 29-11-17/401).

Remove the turbine drive (2):
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector DM647A (9) from the electrical component receptacle.
(b)
Disconnect the electrical connector DM647B (1) from the position switch on the shutoff valve actuator.
(c)
Remove screws (11).
(d)
Remove the clamp (7) that attaches the turbine drive (2) to the pneumatic duct.
(e)
Remove the nuts (5), washers (4), and the bolts (3) to disconnect the support rods (6) from the aft flanges of the turbine drive.
NOTE: Hold the turbine drive (2) during the removal to
____ prevent damage to the drive unit or the airplane structure.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WITH THE TURBINE DRIVE DURING THE REMOVAL. A ROUGH MOVEMENT OF THE TURBINE DRIVE CAN CAUSE OIL TO FLOW AROUND THE TURBINE SHAFT SEAL AND COLLECT IN THE EXHAUST SCROLL.
(f)
Remove the bolt (14) and the bushing (13) from the forward left side mounting flange.
(g)
Remove the bolt (12) from the forward right side mounting flange.
(h)
Carefully lift the turbine drive (2) around the pneumatic duct and remove it through the right side of the strut.
(i)
Remove the seal from the flange of the turbine drive exhaust and remove the turbine exhaust cascade (10) from the turbine drive.

Examine the condition of the screen in the air inlet of the pneumatic duct.

Clean or replace the screen if it is necessary (AMM 36-11-24/401).
