 D. Procedure
 S 014-002
 (1)  
For the EDP check valves, open the right thrust reverser half on the applicable engine (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 S 014-017

 (2)  
For the check valves on the demand pump, open the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the applicable strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

 S 864-003

 (3)
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 S 024-022

 (4)  
Remove the check valve:

 (a)  
Put the container below the check valve.

 (b)  
Disconnect the supply hose from the hydraulic pump.

 (c)  
Disconnect the applicable pressure or case drain hose.

 (d)  
Remove the elbow.

 (e)  
Remove the check valve.

Procedure


 S 424-023
 (1)  
Install the check valve:

 (a)  
Lubricate the threads of the elbow, the check valve, and the hose with hydraulic fluid.

 (b)  
Install the elbow on the check valve.
 1) Install a lockwire on the elbow.


 (c)  
Connect the check valve assembly to the hose.


 NOTE: Hold the fitting to make sure it does not turn.
____
 (d)  
Connect the hose to the pump.

 (e)  
Tighten the hose connection to the applicable torque value: 1) EDP pressure hose: 1140-1260 pound-inches (126-138 N.m) 2) ADP pressure hose: 1140-1260 pound-inches (126-138 N.m) 3) ACMP pressure hose: 855-945 pound-inches (94-103 N.m) 4) EDP case drain hose: 475-525 pound-inches (53-57 N.m) 5) ADP case drain hose: 475-525 pound-inches (53-57 N.m) 6) ACMP case drain hose: 475-525 pound-inches (53-57 N.m).

 (2)  
Pressurize the hydraulic system with the EDP, the ADP, or the ACMP, whichever is applicable (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (3)  
Examine the hose and connections for leakage.

 (a)  
If you find leakage, repair the cause of it.


 S 864-012
 (4)  
Remove the hydraulic power if it is not necessary for other operations (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 S 414-013

 (5)  
For the EDP check valves, close the thrust reverser half
 (AMM 78-31-00/201).
