 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure contains the tasks to remove and install the shutoff and speed control valve. The installation task also contains a test of the installation of the shutoff and speed control valve.
 B.  The shutoff and speed control valve is on the aft side of the torque box in the aft nacelle strut. The valve is attached to the left side of the turbine drive on the air-driven pump (ADP).
 C.  You can get access to the shutoff and speed control valve through the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the strut. Before you can remove the valve, you must remove the ADP turbine drive.

 (1)  Open the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT SUPPORT EQUIPMENT AND A CLEAN
_______ AREA TO DO THE WORK. DAMAGE TO THE TURBINE DRIVE UNIT CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  Remove the ADP turbine drive (25) (AMM 29-11-08/401).
