(14) Do a no-load Breakaway Torque of the spherical bearing (7) to 0.75 m.daN (66.37 lbf.in) maximum.
(15) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-002) to the parts that follow: - the lock nut (1) - the lockwasher (2) - the interface of the spherical bearing (7) and the flap structure (8) - the locking device (4).
(16) Apply red STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-016), as shown, to the spherical bearing (3).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Install the inboard flap (Ref. TASK 27-54-61-400-001).

R B. Installation of the Flap Attachment Bearing
R R (1) Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the external surface of the new spherical bearing (7) and the flap structure (3).
R R (2) Make sure that the SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) does not touch the internal surfaces of the spherical bearing (7).
R (3) Install the spherical bearing (7) in the flap structure (3).
R R R (4) Apply LUBRICANTS (Material No. 06-008) to the thread of the locknut (5) and the mating surfaces of the locknut (5) and the lockwasher (6).
R (5) Loosely install the lockwasher (6) and the locknut (5).
R R R (6) Put the locking device (8) in position on the spherical bearing (7). If necessary , adjust the position of the spherical bearing (7) so that the locking device (8) engages correctly.
R (7) Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the bolts (4).
R (8) Install the bolts (4), the washers (2) and the nuts (9).
R (9) TORQUE the nuts (9) to between 0.3 and 0.35 m.daN (26.54 and 30.97
R lbf.in).
R (10) Install and safety the new cotter pins (1).
R (11) Use the WRENCH - BEARING, FLAP TO CARRIAGE TRACK 2 (98D27507541000)
R to torque the locknut (5) to between 10.0 and 12.0 m.daN (73.74 and
R 88.49 lbf.ft).
R (12) Safety the locknut (5) with the lockwasher (6).
R (13) Do a no-load Breakaway Torque of the spherical bearing (7) to 0.75
R m.daN (66.37 lbf.in) maximum.
R (14) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-002) to the parts that follow:

One outboard flap is installed on each of the right and the left wings.
In the retracted position, the outboard flap is the wing trailing edge
between the inboard flap and the aileron.

The outboard flap is a fowler flap assembly with a tab on its trailing edge.
One outboard flap is installed on each of the right and the left wings. In
