 (1)
 Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
 (2)
 Put the safety barriers in position.

 (1)
 Fully extend the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
 (2)
 Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803000000) is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
 (3)
 Put the access platform below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap track 2, zone 531 (631).

INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

 A. Preparation for Inspection 
 (1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean: - the rollers (1), (2) and (5) of the flap track carriage assembly (4) - the component interface and the adjacent area.

 B. Inspection 
 (1) Examine the rollers (1), (2) and (5) of the carriage assembly (4), to make sure that: - there is no corrosion - there are no cracks - the rollers are correctly attached - the rollers are symmetrical - there is no distortion of the rollers or their attachment pivot bolts - there is not too much wear of the rollers (1), (2) and (5) or signs of grooves or marks on the flap track (3).
