Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803000000) is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Put the access platform below the applicable flap track 1, zone 500(600).

D. Get Access
(1)
Open the applicable MLG door 734, 744 (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2)
Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) is installed on the applicable MLG door actuator.
(3)
Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. TASK 53-35-11-000-001):

for the LH wing, remove 193AB, 193BB
-
for the RH wing, remove 194AB, 194BB.
(4)
Remove the applicable flap track 1 actuator (Ref. TASK 27-54-49-000-001).
(5)
Disconnect the applicable flap track 1 actuator drive lever from the applicable flap link arm (Ref. TASK 27-54-55-000-001).

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the component interface and the adjacent area.

B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Actuator Lever Bushes and Actuator Splines
(1)
Before you do the inspection, move the actuator lever to approximately the 20 deg. flap position.
(2)
Inspect the actuator lever bushes for wear:
(a) Measure the sideplay of the actuator lever:
1_ If the dimension X is less than 2.40 mm (0.0944 in.) and there
is no wear or corrosion of the actuator output-shaft splines,
the actuator is in a serviceable condition.
2_ If the dimension X is between 2.40 mm (0.0944 in.) and 3.80 mm
(0.1496 in.), refer to (Ref. ISB 57-1108).
3_ If the dimension X is more than 3.80 mm (0.1496 in.), or the
actuator output-shaft splines are more than 50% corroded,
refer to AIRBUS INDUSTRIE for instructions.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 6CV, 8CV.
