Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803000000) is installed on the flap/slat control lever.

A. Inspection of Inboard Flap, Bottom Surface, Drain Holes and Inspection Holes
(1)
Examine the inboard flap, bottom surface drain holes. Make sure that:
-there are no covers installed on the drain holes
-the drain holes are not blocked.
(2)
If a drain hole is blocked, remove all unwanted material from around the hole. Use a 5.0mm (0.2 in.) dia. non-metallic probe to remove the blockage from the hole.
(3)
Examine the inboard flap, bottom surface inspection holes. Make sure that:
-
the covers are correctly installed on each inspection hole
-
the covers are in good condition.

B. Replace Defective or Missing Inspection Hole Covers
(1)
Remove and discard the damaged inspection hole cover(s).
(2)
Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the external surfaces around the applicable inboard flap, bottom surface inspection hole(s).
(3)
Use BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-061A) cut to the correct dimensions, to make new cover(s) for the applicable inspection hole(s).
