A. Preparation for Installation
WARNING : THE CARTRIDGE IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE. TO PREVENT EXPLOSION OF
_______ THE CARTRIDGE (NOT FIRED) AND INJURY TO PERSONNEL: -INSTALL THE APPLICABLE PROTECTIVE DEVICE (CAP OR PLUG). THIS WILL PROTECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR OF THE CARTRIDGE. DO NOT USE A FOIL SHUNT.
(1)
Make sure that the SHUNT PLUG - FIRE EXTINGUISHER CARTRIDGE (2-100831-1) is installed on the cartridge (2).
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area. Subtask 26-22-42-420-050
B. Installation of the Fire-Extinguisher Bottle Cartridge (12WF) WARNING : DO NOT INSTALL THE CARTRIDGE ON THE DISCHARGE HEAD IF THE HEAD

IS NOT INSTALLED ON THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE.
(1)
Install the new 0-ring (7) on the cartridge (2).
(2)
Install the bonding lug (3) and the cartridge (2).
(3)
TORQUE the cartridge (2) to between 1.05 and 1.15 m.daN (92.92 and
101.76 lbf.in).
(4)
Safety the cartridge (2) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.) dia.
(5)
Install the washer (4), the bonding strap (5) and the nut (6) on the bonding lug (3) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(6)
Remove the SHUNT PLUG - FIRE EXTINGUISHER CARTRIDGE (2-100831-1) from the cartridge (2).
(7)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(8)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(9)
Connect the electrical connector (1) to the cartridge (2).
(10) Safety the electrical connector (1) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) dia.

B. Installation of the Fire-Extinguisher Bottle Cartridge (12WF)
(1)
Install the bonding lug (3) and the cartridge (2).
(2)
TORQUE the cartridge (2) to between 0.92 and 1.15 m.daN (81.41 and
101.76 lbf.in).
(3)
Safety the cartridge (2) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.) dia.
(4)
Install the washer (4), the bonding strap (5) and the nut (6) on the bonding lug (3) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(5)
Remove the SHUNT DEVICE - FIRE EXTINGUISHER CARTRIDGE (324301) from the cartridge (2).
(6)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(7)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(8)
Connect the electrical connector (1) to the cartridge (2).
(9)
Safety the electrical connector (1) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) dia.
