 On the AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED and APU BLEED pushbutton switches are released. Make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.

 In the cockpit, on the HP ground connector, make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.

 A. Installation of the Fire-Extinguishing Pipes
 (1)
 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (2)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (3)
 Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.

 (4)
 Install the fire-extinguishing pipe (view B):

 (a)
 Put a new O-ring (13) in position on the pipe (15).

 (b)
 Install the pipe (9).

 


R (c) Hold the nut (8) and TORQUE the nut (7) to between 800 and 900 R lbf.in (9.04 and 10.17 m.daN) on the pipe (9).
 (d)
 Install the washers (12), the bolts (11), the nuts (14) and tighten.

 (e)
 Install the two washers (36) and bolts (35) and tighten.

 (f)
 Install the clamp (32) on the clamp block (31) with the bolts


 (30) and tighten.
 (5) Install the left lower bulkhead assy (view E):
 (a)
 Put the bulkhead (29) in position.

 (b)
 Install the bolts (23), (24) and (25), the washers (27), the nuts

 (28) and tighten.

 (c)
 Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-002) with a brush, around the pipes (37) and (9), and against the bulkhead (29).

 B. Test
 (1) Do a check of the engine fire-extinguishing distribution piping for leakage and obstruction (Ref. TASK 26-21-00-720-003).

 C. Installation of the Fire-Extinguishing Pipe
 (1) Install the fire-extinguishing pipe (views C and D):
 (a)
 Put the news O-rings (2) in position on the pipe (4).

 (b)
 Install the pipe (4).

 (c)
 Tighten by hand the knurled nut (3) until it stops.

 (d)
 Put the rubber pad (19) in position.

 (e)
 Install the washers (18), the spacers (17), the bolts (16) and tighten.

 (f)
 Safety the knurled nuts (3) with corrosion resistant steel lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).
