(1) Fire Extinguisher Bottle
(a)
Make an inspection of the fire extinguisher bottle for scratches, dents and corrosion.
(b)
Make sure that the identification plate and caution plate are installed and readable.
(c)
Make an inspection of the mounting lugs, support brackets and the welded seams for cracks, breaks and tears.
(d)
Make an inspection of the connections for dents or corrosion and that the safety wire is correct.
NOTE : Replace the damaged part if necessary (Ref. TASK 26-22-41-
____ 000-001) (Ref. TASK 26-22-41-400-001).
(2) Cartridge
(a) Make an inspection at the cartridge connection for damage or corrosion.
NOTE : The total life of the cartridges is 10 years. The total
____ life is the total useful life of the cartridge and starts on the date of manufacture.
(b)
Make an inspection of the cartridge service date given on the cartridge.
(c)
Make sure that the cartridge total life has not expired.
(d)
Make sure that the cartridge has sufficient life until the next scheduled inspection.
