ANY TIME A SID, STAR OR APPROACH IS LINKED INTO THE
FLIGHT PLAN, THE PILOT SHOULD REVIEW THE RESULTING
FLIGHT PLAN TO VERIFY THAT IT IS CONTINUOUS WITH NO
GAPS OR DUPLICATED WAYPOINTS, AND THAT IT
CONFORMS TO THE INTENDED PATH OF FLIGHT.
In the example above, the KSEA SUMMA5 departure with Pendleton
transition would read as follows:
Maintain heading 340 until 829 feet, and then course 343 from SEA
until passing DME 8 at or above 4000 feet. Then turn right to
heading 070 until intercepting the 143 radial of Payne VOR, then
turn right to heading 175 to intercept the 143 course into SUMMA
intersection, then direct PDT. The remainder of the enroute portion
can be entered manually or by using the LIST AIRWAYS feature.

Flight Plan Summary
Available during ground operations prior to departure, the Flight Plan
Summary page provides a synopsis of distance, time, and fuel
requirements for the planned flight.
1. Press the FPL function key to access the FPL mode.
2. Use the PREV and NEXT keys to access the FPL SUMMARY
page (located following the last flight plan page).
3. Use the line select keys to position the cursor over each entry
field and enter the planned data as follows:
ETD UTC - Enter the estimated time of departure in UTC
(Coordinated Universal Time) format. If desired, this may be
skipped by pressing the ENTER key and entering the ETD according
to local time. The cursor will then advance to the local time zone
difference entry field.
Enter the local time zone difference from the zero meridian (up to ±
13 hours). The time zone sign (±) will be prefilled according to the
longitude of the first waypoint on the flight plan. The cursor will
advance to the local time entry field allowing entry of ETD according
to local time.
If the local time zone difference from the zero meridian was not
correctly entered it can be changed. To alter the value, use line
select key [2L] to place the cursor on the ETD UTC entry field.
Press the ENTER key to advance the cursor to the time zone

ETD LCL - Entry of the estimated time of departure may be made
according to the local time zone.
TAS (MAN) - Entering the estimated true airspeed (in knots) will
cause the ETE and ETA values to be displayed. This value of TAS
will be applied to each leg in the flight plan and will take into account
any wind information that has been entered for waypoints in order to
predict a groundspeed for each leg.
FF (MAN) - Enter the estimated fuel flow, which will be used to
compute minimum fuel (MIN FUEL).
ETA UTC - A manual entry of ETA will change the displayed ETD
according to the ETE. Enter the local time zone difference from the
zero meridian (up to ± 13 hours). The time zone sign (±) will be
prefilled according to the longitude of the last waypoint on the flight
plan (prior to a gap). The cursor will advance to the local time entry
field allowing entry of ETA according to local time.
