specified IRS.
IRS # DESELECT - The sensor "watchdog" has determined that the
specified IRS data is unreasonable and has deselected the sensor
for use in navigation.

IRS # DIFFERENCE WARNING - The sensor “watchdog” has
sensed that the latitude/longitude position as determined by IRS#
(1,2, or 3) differs from the FMS best computed position by an
amount that warrants pilot attention.
IRS # FAIL - An inertial reference system failure is detected in the
IRS indicated.
1. Press The DATA key to access DATA 2/4.
2. Place cursor over sensor to access the SENSOR STATUS
page.
3. Check the sensor status.
IRS # HEADING FAIL - The compass heading source, IRS# (1, 2, or
3), was serving as the primary heading source but has failed. This
message will be removed after it is displayed. Unless a NO
HEADING message is also active, the system will have
automatically selected another valid heading source. No action is
necessary if another valid heading was selected. A check should be
made on the appropriate DATA page to ensure that the heading
source selected is the one desired and the heading is correct.
1. Press The DATA key to access DATA 4/4.
2. Press HDG to place the cursor over the heading field.
3. Press the LIST key to access the HDG SRC page.
4. Check the heading source and change if desired.
IRS # NAV - The specified IRS is in the navigation mode. Alignment
is complete.
IRS # ON BATTERY - The specified IRS is being powered by a DC
power source or standby battery.
IRS # READY NAV - In installations using Delco IRS only, the IRS
align status is 5.
LCS DESELECT - The sensor "watchdog" has determined that the
LCS sensor position is unreasonable and has deselected the sensor
for use in navigation.

LCS DIFFERENCE > xxNM - The sensor "watchdog" has sensed
that the latitude/ longitude position as determined by the LCS differs
from the FMS best computed position by an amount that warrants
pilot attention. "xx" can be 6, 12, 18, or 24 NM.
LCS FAIL # - The message displayed where # is the failure code for
the type failure the LCS has detected as follows:
1 - LCS Program Checksum Fail
2 - LCS ARINC Self Test Fail
3 - LCS Memory Test Fail
9 - LCS is not communicating with the FMS
1. Press The DATA key to access DATA 2/4.
2. Place cursor over the LCS sensor to access the SENSOR
STATUS page.
3. Check the sensor status.
LCS NAV - LCS has changed to navigational mode.
LCS NOT NAV - LCS has change to a not navigational mode. The
cause of the change is displayed on the LORAN Status page.
LEFT IOC-ONSIDE FAIL - This message will be on the #1 FMS if
the onside Input/Output Concentrator (IOC) has failed (only with
Collins Pro Line 4 interface).
LEFT IOC-OFFSIDE FAIL - This message will be on the #2 FMS if
the offside Input/Output Concentrator (IOC) has failed (only with
Collins Pro Line 4 interface).
MANUAL LEG CHANGE REQD – The aircraft is on a CA, FA, or VA
leg and barometric altitude is not available to the FMS. The crew
must make a manual leg chance to sequence the waypoint.
MEMORY BANK # FAIL - In dual cycle memory bank FMSs, either
memory bank 1 or memory bank 2 has failed and all data bases in
that failed bank are not usable.
1. Reload the navigation data base in the other bank.
MODE KEYS INOP - DISK PAGE - A disallowed mode key was
pressed while any disk function page is displayed, other than Disk
Menu.

MOT WPT LIST FULL - For MMMSs only when MOT 9 (Mark On
Target waypoint number 9) is created meaning the next waypoint
added will bump the oldest waypoint from the list.
MOT WPT MEMORY FAIL - This message in appears in MMMSs
only. MOT(Mark On Target) waypoint memory section has failed
power-up self test.
NAV DATABASES FAILED - All segments of the navigation data
base failed simultaneously. This message replaces all individual
segment messages.
1. Reload navigation data base.
NDB DATABASE FAIL - A problem has been found in the NDB data
base. Access to this data base will not be permitted.
1. Reload navigation data base.
