1. Press SID LEGS line select key to display the SID legs.
2. Press NEXT key to display page 2. Notice now that the enroute
leg from CIE to SSO has been eliminated, and that the SID legs
end at CIE.
3. Add the ELP transition after CIE by creating a Track To Fix leg
segment from CIE to ELP and designate it an ENRTE TRAN
segment. The last screens should appear as follows:
At this point the SID definition is complete, containing both Rwy 11L
and 29R transitions, as well as the SSO and ELP enroute
transitions. When this SID is selected for use in the flight plan, all
legs appropriate to the selected runway and enroute transitions will
be correctly linked.
NOTE: If, when linking a SID into the flight plan, a departure
runway is not selected, then none of the runway transition
legs will be used. The SID will begin at the first Common
Segment waypoint. Similarly, if no enroute transition is
chosen, no enroute transition legs will be linked into the
flight plan, and the SID will end at the last Common
Segment waypoint.

PILOT DEFINED STARS
A STAR is essentially the mirror image of a SID. It can begin with
multiple Enroute Transitions, feeding to a Common Segment, and
ending with one or more Runway Transitions. Use the same steps
as described above for creating a SID, except begin with an Enroute
Transition and end with a Runway transition. Many STARs end at a
single feeder fix to the airport, and this waypoint would be the last
one of the Common Segment. In this case there would be no
Runway Transitions.
Deleting a Pilot Defined STAR
The process to delete a pilot STAR is the same as deleting a pilot
SID.
1. Select the STAR using DATA PILOT DATA STAR and entering
the name of the STAR to be deleted.
2. Press the MENU key and follow the prompts for deleting the
STAR.
3. To delete the entire STAR with all transitions press line select
key [2L] once to highlight that line then press a second time to
complete the deletion.
4. To delete the named transition press line select key [4L] once to
highlight that line then press a second time to complete the
deletion.
