COMMUNICATION ERROR: UNRECOVERABLE ERRORS IN
TRANSFERRED DATA - Checksum errors and retry count
exceeded, or DTU/FMS protocol data block header is incorrect.
COULD NOT LOAD ALL DATABASES - - TOO LARGE FOR
AVAILABLE MEMORY - An attempt is made to load a data base
that is too large for the available memory.
DATABASE(S) NOT FOUND ON DISK - The disk, when accessed,
contains a header file, but no data base files.
DISK FORMAT ERROR - An attempt is made to format a disk and a
format error occurs.
DISK IS FULL - An attempt is made to write Flight Data to the disk,
and there is no memory available on the disk.
DISK IS WRITE PROTECTED - The DTU detects that the disk is
write protected.
DISK MUST BE EMPTY - - USE ANOTHER DISK, OR PUSH
FORMAT DISK ON DISK MENU TO DELETE ALL FILES ON THIS
DISK - An attempt is made to do a Plt Database Save, and the disk
already contains at least one DOS file.
DISK READ OR WRITE ERROR - The DTU returned a disk read or
write error after an attempt is made to read or write to disk.
DTU ALREADY IN USE, OR COMMUNICATION ERRORS - An
attempt is made to initiate a disk operation when the DTU is already
performing an action initiated by another FMS.
DTU NOT DETECTED - There is no activity on the FMS/DTU bus.
EMPTY DISK OR NON-FMS DISK - An attempt is made to do a disk
contents or disk load, and the disk does not contain a header file.

INVALID DATA ON DISK - The disk contains a header file, but an
invalid field exists.
INVALID DISK VERSION - The disk version field on the disk header
is not compatible with the FMS software version.
LOAD CANCELED BY ANOTHER FMS - The loading operation has
been canceled on another FMS.
LOAD CANCELED - The loading operation has been canceled on
the FMS being viewed.
MISSING OR UNFORMATTED DISK - No disk is detected by the
DTU when accessed, or the disk is not DOS formatted to 720K or
1.44M.
MUST FIRST UPDATE STANDARD DATABASE BEFORE THIS
EXTEND OR COMPANY ROUTE DATABASE CAN BE LOADED -
An attempt is made to load a NAV extended or company route data
base before the NAV standard data base of the same cycle is
loaded.
MUST FIRST UPDATE STANDARD DATABASE BEFORE THIS
PLT DATABASE CAN BE LOADED - An attempt is made to load a
pilot data base that is more recent than the one currently stored.
POWER FAIL - A power failure has interrupted the operation.
DDARINC FAIL - A failure exists on the double density ARINC
board.
DISK WAS CHANGED PRIOR TO CONFIRMING THE LOAD -
During a disk load; the disk in the DTU was changed after
CHECKING DISK TYPE but before the LOAD prompt was pressed.
ADVANCED PERFORMANCE MODE MUST BE ENABLED
BEFORE THIS DATABASE CAN BE LOADED - The advanced
performance mode has not been configured and must be before a
performance data base can be loaded.

MUST LOAD ALL DISKS OF A MULTIPLE DISK DATABASE
BEFORE A DIFFERENT TYPE DATABASE CAN BE LOADED -
An attempt has been made to load a data base disk before
completion of loading a multiple disk data base.
THIS DISK OF A MULTIPLE DISK DATABASE IS NOT LOADED
IN SEQUENTIAL ORDER - An attempt has been made to load a
disk of a multiple disk data base out of order.
MUST PERFORM A CHECK ALL BEFORE DISK LOAD
PROCESS CAN BE CANCELED - The CANCEL prompt has been
selected prior to selecting CHECK ALL.
INACTIVE MEMORY BANK FAILURE - - CANNOT LOAD DISK
INTO INACTIVE MEMORY BANK - In a dual cycle data base, the
inactive data base has failed and disks cannot be loaded into that
memory bank.

Waypoints
Any identifier in the NAV Data Base is opened for interrogation by
typing the identifier of the waypoint to be interrogated on the Data
Base Menu page (DATA/NAV). The following information is available
for each identifier in the data base:
NOTE: The data in the NAV Data Base is not available for manual
update and cannot be changed by the pilot.
