Function Keys
Eight function or mode select keys are located immediately below
the display. These keys are used to select the basic operating
modes of the system for data entry or command inputs. When one
of the function keys is pressed, the display will immediately change
to the first display page of the selected mode. Where multiple pages
exist, subsequently pressing the function key will cycle the display
forward one page at a time. The following paragraphs describe the
selectable modes in general terms. For a detailed description of
each mode and the various display pages under each mode, refer to
the function and page descriptions later in this section.
LIST Key
The LIST key is used to provide a list of options appropriate to the
data to be entered. While performing data entry, pressing the LIST
key presents a list of selections appropriate to the entry being made.
MENU Key
The MENU key is used to present a list of alternate formats or
options for the FUEL, FPL or TUNE mode being displayed. A small
letter “m” in a box will appear on the title line of any page in which
the MENU key is active. Refer to the applicable Section for further
details.
DATA Key
The DATA function is used to obtain information and status about
the FMS, its NAV Data Base, and the attached sensors which
operate with the FMS. Although sensor control is totally automatic,
selection and deselection of individual sensors may be
accomplished using this function. The DATA function is also used to
make additions, deletions, or changes to pilot defined locations.

HOLD POS
The HOLD POS line select key accesses the HOLD POSITION
page. This page displays a snap shot of the FMS position for
comparison with sensor positions.
CABIN DISP
The CABIN DISP line select key accesses the CABIN DISP page.
When a Universal Avionics Systems Corporation’s CD-2000 Cabin
Display is installed, the FMS can be configured to control the
passenger briefing messages, thus eliminating the need to install the
CD-2000 Cockpit Control Unit (CCU).
NOTE: When a CD-2000 is not configured in the FMS, the CABIN
DISP line select key will not appear.
To activate a passenger briefing message, press the appropriate key
next to the desired message. The key will change from PLAY to
CANCEL for the duration of the message, then automatically revert
to PLAY when the message ends. The message may be canceled
by pressing CANCEL at any time.
NOTE: The different types of messages and their titles are defined
during the installation configuration of the FMS, therefore
the actual page appearance in your aircraft may vary from
that shown below. From one to six messages can be
enabled, and their titles may be different from that shown.
The following page is a typical example.
In this example, TURBULENCE message is now playing, and
CANCEL will remain displayed for the duration of the message, as
