Push the STAT button on the EICAS display select panel.

 (a)  
Make sure the status page shows on the auxiliary EICAS.

 (3)  Slowly increase the pressure at the differential pressure switch to
 6.0 psi (41.4 kPa).
 (a)  Make sure the ENG (1, 2, 3, or 4) FUEL FILT status message shows on the status page when the pressure is 5.0-6.0 psi (34.5-41.4 kPa).

Decrease the pressure to zero.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition.

 (1)  
Remove the compressed air source, pressure gauge, vent valve, and shutoff valve from the adapter.

 (2)  
Remove the pressure adapter.

 (a)  
Remove the bolts and washers which attach the adapter to the differential switch.

 (b)  
Remove the adapter from the differential pressure switch. 1) Discard the packings.

 (c)  
Lubricate the new packings with the petrolatum.

 (d)  
Install the new packings in the recesses of the fuel pump ports.

 (e)  
Put the differential pressure switch with the bracket on the fuel pump.

 (f)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt with engine oil.

 (g)  
Attach the differential pressure switch to the fuel pump with the bolts and washers.


 NOTE: The washers are installed below the bolt heads that
____ do not attach the bracket to the fuel pump.

(h)  Tighten the bolts to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7
 newton-meters).

_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (3)  
Close the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Close the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

 (5)  
Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

 (6)  
Do the activation procedure for the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Put the FUEL CONTROL switch to CUTOFF.

For the applicable engine, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers as follows:

 (a)  
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6F1 IGN 1 ENG 1
 2) 6F2 IGN 1 ENG 2
 3) 6F3 IGN 1 ENG 3
 4) 6F4 IGN 1 ENG 4
 5) 6K19 IGN 2 ENG 1
 6) 6K20 IGN 2 ENG 2
 7) 6K21 IGN 2 ENG 3

Remove the ENG (1,2, 3, or 4) FUEL FILT EICAS status message as follows:

 (a)  
Get access to the CMCS present leg faults menu
 (AMM 45-10-00/001).


 (b)  
Find the ENG (1, 2, 3, or 4) FUEL FILT fault message.

 (c)  
Show the maintenance message for this fault.

 (d)
