For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers and install the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

8) 6G24 ENG SCU 2

OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF
THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.

Open the core cowl panels (AMM 71-11-06/201).

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN AMM 78-31-00/201 WHEN YOU OPEN THE
_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(5) Open the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

CAUTION: DO NOT TWIST OR BEND THE WIRE HARNESS MORE THAN NECESSARY
_______ DURING THE REMOVAL OF THE WIRE HARNESS. IF THE WIRE HARNESS IS TWISTED OR BENT, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE WIRE HARNESS.
(6)
Disconnect the W5J26 connector from the W2P26 connector as follows:
(a)
Find the W5J26 connector located at the 1:00 o'clock position on the High Pressure Compressor (HPC) case.
(b)
Disconnect the W5J26 connector from the W2P26 connector.
(c)
Disconnect the W6P12 harness connector from the W5J12 harness connector located on Flange K at the 3:30 o'clock position.
(d)
Remove the bolts and nuts that attach the W5J26 connector to the bracket.
(e)
Remove the W5J26 connector from the bracket.
(f)
Install protective covers on the electrical connectors.
