 NOTE: Do not use ferrous material type brushes.
____ Use a stainless steel brush only.
 c)  Clean the bottom of the trap with a stainless steel brush (such as Dremmel #532) and Isopropyl Alcohol or equivalent.
 d)  After you clean the bottom of the trap, check the inside of the trap and the bleed hole to make sure it is free of loose material, fluid, soot or scale deposites. A 0.010 -0.015 inch (0.254 - 0.381 mm) diameter steel wire or drill bit must be able to easily pass through the bleed hole without collecting or dislodging debris. Do this procedure again, as necessary.
 e)  Rinse the trap with water and blow compressed air through the trap to clean the condensation trap of any unwanted material. Use clean, dry, low pressure shop air.
 f)  Do a visual inspection of the trap to make sure there are no obstructions or blockages. A 10X magnifying glass with a light can be used to help in the inspection. If you can see through the hole, the trap can be considered clean and can be re-installed.

g)  If cleaning does not remove the unwanted material or blockage, replace the condensation trap.
 CAUTION:_______DO NOT LUBRICATE THE TUBE FITTINGS. IF YOU LUBRICATE THE TUBE FITTINGS, THE LUBRICANT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE EEC.
 (d)  Install the cap on the PAMB manifold tee.
 1) Tighten the cap to 270-300 pound-inches (30.5-33.9
 newton-meters).

 2)  Safety the cap with lockwire or safety cable and safety cable ferrule.

Examine the water trap for the P2 manifold.

 (a)  
Put the container below the water trap.

 (b)  
Remove lockwire and cap.

 (c)  
Make an inspection of the P2 water trap as follows:
 1) Remove any water from the water trap.
 2) Clean the water trap vent hole.

 

 a) Clean the vent hole in the condensation trap with a
 0.010 - 0.015 inch (0.254 - 0.381 mm) diameter steel wire.
 b)  Clean the side walls of the trap with a rough cylindrical bristle brush (with strong fibers such as natural, nylon, polyster or tampico) that will not scratch the trap interior.
 NOTE: Do not use ferrous material type brushes.
